"Phosphene tells the story of homeless skater Bernardo and office assistant Susan dealing with drug-induced magical powers as they manage the anxieties of being artists; Bernardo, a musician looking for an audience and, Susan, a former painter trying to find a muse."
"As an American-Brazilian filmmaker in NY, I was always surrounded by diverse people. The production will have a cast & crew mostly of women and people of color. Phosphene includes people of varying races, religions, and identities on set, a structure that allows a vast flow of new ideas."
This film, directed by Bryan Ribeiro, will screen live at The Local on January 15th.
